Robert Trent Jones Trail

    I would have to say that my favorite course, of the ones I've played on the Robert Trent Jones Trail is the Oxmore Valley Ridge course.

    The challenge and the beauty of the course is everywhere. At this hole, it is a diagonal tee shot over a natural valley - too far to the left and you're in big trouble. Too far to the right and you've turned a par 4 into a par 5.

    A beautiful golf hole on a marvelous course.

Farther to the north near the city of Huntsville, Alabama is another of the Robert Trent Jones courses. Actually it's three courses - The Highlands, The River, and the Short Course (a par 3 course) which make up the Hampton Cove complex.

Pictured to the right is one of the unique holes on the Highlands course. This photo is taken from near the green, looking back towards the tee box, and yes, that is a barn sitting in the middle of the fairway.
