It had been a long day for both of us. On Friday, I worked out of one of my employer's Atlanta offices. After work, I met Jim at the departure gate. |
| Seven hours later, we were in Anchorage at 11:30 PM local time - still Friday. We had caught some sleep on the plane, and I asked Jim if he wanted to grab a hotel for a few hours sleep - he said no, he was good to go - so we did. Before leaving the airport, I had to take the obligatory "Welcome to Alaska" photo, and, given the time of our arrival, I excitedly walked out to the parking lot to take my first photo of the midnight sun. |
