Around Banff...

Follow the Bow River about one mile downstream and  you'll find the Hoodoos, a strange formation of rock.  Actually, this is the same place I took the first picture of the Banff Springs Hotel.  It seems that no matter which direction you face, you'll find an interesting view.
We took a ride up Mount Rundle just outside Banff, and found this scenic overlook.  In this grassy mountain meadow, behind the trees, there were a number of sun worshipers eager to enjoy the summer sun after a long Canadian winter.  In these same grasses, there were other creatures.  A number of these prairie dogs were scurrying around.  Their tunnel dens each have a number of entrances,
and if you're quiet, you can listen to them calling to each other across the meadow.
