Rockies Meeting of the Waters |

We continued to head west toward Takkakaw Falls and came upon the confluence of the Yoho and Kicking Horse rivers, which are markedly different in their color, as explained on the sign. |

It was a cloudy day and it was difficult to get a fast enough shutter speed to “freeze” the movement of the water. However, if you look closely at the Kicking Horse River in the top of the picture, you can see its clear character as it flows over the rocks. By contrast, the Yoho River on the bottom is a milky color, caused by the sediment of glacial runoff. |
