British Columbia

Another day trip from Lake Louise took us to the western most province of Canada, British Columbia.  It wasn’t as far as it might sound.  The continental divide separates the southern portion of Alberta and British Columbia, with Lake Louise virtually bordering the divide.
Just a couple of miles from Lake Louise, we took a two-lane road west, toward the border of Alberta and British Columbia.  This portion of the provential border rests on the Continental Divide or The Great Divide as it is referenced in Canada, and The Eagles song, The Last Resort.
(They came from everywhere,
To the Great Divide,
Seeking a place to stand,
Or a place to hide.)
