Water & Mountains

I was reluctant to carry the good cameras on the water in case they got damaged or lost overboard.  Instead, I bought one of the Kodak "one time" underwater cameras – and used it exclusively for the pictures of our canoe trip.  I thought the pictures came out pretty good for a $10 camera.
Our canoe trip ended, interestingly enough, where the Maligne River empties into the Athabasca River.  This picture is looking up the Maligne where some eight miles upstream is Maligne Canyon and another 25 miles up the Maligne River are the headwaters of Maligne Lake.

Right, is our last picture in Jasper.  Behind us are the Athabasca River, the mountains, and lots of good memories.
