Golfers, or those who want to be, will enjoy two great golf courses, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., that are nestled between the Rocky Mountains and the Kananaskis Valley. I've had the good fortune to twice play these great golf courses, once in 1997 and again in 2002. Not words, but only pictures can convey the beauty of this marvelous golf course.

The view from the clubhouse, which boasts a fine restaurant, shows where the two courses (36 holes total) meet next to a beautiful practice putting green.

Now if you're a golfer, you've often hit your tee shot only to struggle following your ball as it disappears into the sky and the white clouds. Well, let me share with you the most beautiful tee shots I ever hit were here at Kananaskis - not because of the quality of the shot, but after I hit the ball, rather than disappearing into the clouds, the ball was silhouetted against the dark green of the pine trees growing on the mountain - a beautiful sight, simply watching the flight of the white ball against the dark green background.
