By this time, the
weather had really deteriorated, and we headed back towards the car.
If you look carefully in the pine trees, you’ll notice a little blurring
in the picture – that’s the snow falling!
We left Moraine Lake, traveling a few miles
down one of the few twisting mountain roads. While I was driving,
I looked in the rear-view mirror – the contrast in the weather patterns
was quite striking. The two photos below were taken from the same
place at the same time. The left photo is looking west towards Moraine
Lake (remember the snow falling?) while the right photo is looking east
across the Bow River Valley, with the sunshine illuminating the trees and
mountain side.
