I don't know if this is a natural occurrence or if it is a man-made tunnel, but it seemed appropriate to serve as a portal - a certain right of passage - for those of us who toiled from the water's edge to the rim of the Grand Canyon.   It was hard.  We were dusty and dirty.  But - it felt good.   We had hiked Bright Angel Trail.
