Divi Divi Trees
Divi Divi tree shaped by the wind Weather Forecast: Windy.
As I said, it is always windy on Aruba as evidenced by the Divi Divi trees, which grow bent by the never ending trade winds.  The near Martian landscape gives further evidence to the desert conditions of the island.
Below left is another example of the desert conditions found on the interior of the island.  On the north central shore, one can stand on volcanic rock while looking across the sea to the desert landscape on the opposite side of the bay.
Dessert landscape At the northshore: sea, volcanic rock, and dessert.
