Well, the day is here at last. It's
June 7, 1994; all the tour books and guide books have been read and all
the maps reviewed, the reservations made - now its off to the Rocky Mountains.
Our nine day pilgrimage starts off with a flight from home, Jacksonville,
Florida to Denver.
With the time change of two hours from Eastern time to Mountain time, we arrive none the worse for wear at about noon and pick up our rental car and head south towards Colorado Springs, planning to spend the night there and acclimate to the altitude. |
