Hill of Tarvit Mansionhouse, Cupar

July, 2001

I intentionally took a different road back from Leven to Cupar, just to see some different sites, and I was not disappointed.  I still enjoyed the beautiful countryside, but also came upon Tarvit Mansionhouse.
This is another property maintained by the National Trust for Scotland.  Located just outside the town of Cupar, I followed the "tourist sign" into Tarvit Mansion.  I was there before the mansion opened for house tours - I'm sure that would have been impressive - but I did have the chance to walk the grounds and admire the preservation of this grand home and again, the wonderful gardens.
My time in the St. Andrews and Cupar area had come to a close.  There was one more location that I wanted to see and spend some time in - the capital of Scotland, Edinburgh.
