Franconia, 
New Hampshire		 St. Johnsbury, Vermont We crossed the border from New Hampshire into Vermont at St. Johnsbury, where we spent the night.  The next morning, we were treated to a brilliant display of color just outside our hotel.
We wanted to take another ride through the Franconia Gap, the narrow portion of routes 3 and 93 as they wind their way through the narrow gap in the mountains.  Along the way, on the back roads, we came upon some pastoral country scenes,
