Welcome to New Hampshire Sign We continued along our way thru Maine, and it wasn't too long before we reached the border of New Hampshire.  Take note of the state symbol located in the upper right of the sign - more on that later.
We came in on route 302, which placed us at the southeast corner of the White Mountain National Forest.  It had been an enjoyable ride so far, but our ride thru the national forest might have a limited number of places to eat, so we decided to stop for lunch before proceeding.  We drove just a few miles north to the town of North Conway, a popular tourist town.   We drove up and down the main street and decided to try the local fare at the Bear Crossing Cafe.

There were a bunch of ladybugs flying around - they really didn't bother us, but it got me thinking about the differences between Florida and New Hampshire.  For example, in New Hampshire, I might ask for pop - in Florida I'd ask for soda.  In New Hampshire, they have ladybugs; in Florida we have termites.  New Hampshire - oatmeal; Florida - grits.  New Hampshire has the first important contest in the presidential elections - Florida has the last.  In New Hampshire, they count all the votes...
