Going to the Sun Road

July 2002

The Going to the Sun Road cuts right across the center of Glacier National Park, and it is one incredibly beautiful drive. There are ample places to pull off the side of the road and it seems everyone offers a marvelous landscape.

Our schedule worked out that we arrived in Kalispell around noon and proceeded to travel east from Kalispell.

At this point, we are still climbing towards Logan Pass and the continental divide. There are some awesome vertical drops - comparable to anyplace we've been. An awesome sight!
