Glacier July 2002 |
![]() Wall of snow - just east of Logan Pass |
If planning a trip to Glacier National Park, be aware the only road crossing the park's midpoint is the Going to the Sun Road, and it is snowed in usually until mid June or later. You can check with the National Park Service Web site for current conditions. We were originally planning on visiting in mid to late June, but the road wasn't open at that time - we were certainly glad we pushed our visit until July - we would have missed a great deal of beautiful scenery. |

A few miles to the east of Logan Pass we came upon the Jackson Glacier overlook. Just one spectacular site after another. Glacier National Park is fabulous! |
