Baring Falls - Going to the Sun Road, Glacier National Park

We continued our eastern, and downhill journey along the Going to the Sun Road. Baring Falls offered another convenient parking area and short paved trail.

Towards the eastern end of the Going to the Sun Road, we came upon another beautiful site - Wild Goose Island. This is one of my favorite photos of our trip - but there are others to come.

Our destination was the Snow Goose Lodge located just outside the park boundary in St. Mary, Montana.

We would be staying two nights in the modest but comfortable rooms, using this location as our launch pad for our upcoming visit to Waterton National Park, Canada. It had been a spectacular ride from Kalispell to St. Mary - certainly one of the most beautiful and breathtaking of our many travels.
