Chuck at Zums - Waterton Village, Alberta, Waterton National Park
Waterton was a day trip. We had left Snow Goose Lodge in St. Mary, Montana and made the short trip north to Waterton in Alberta, Canada. Waterton Village sits inside the park at the northern point of Waterton Lake. There were a number of small restaurants, but in the post September 11th travel season, this one caught our eye. We had an enjoyable lunch at Zums.

After lunch, we took an enjoyable ride down the one way - Red Rock Canyon Road.

Of course, you can tell from the photo at the right, how it got its name. I believe I read that the red rocks result from iron ore in the rocks. Some of the same coloring is visible in some of the streams in Glacier National Park to the south. At one of these streams, there were a bunch of kids and parents enjoying themselves in these pristine mountain streams. And as always, we enjoy seeing the wild life in the wilderness.
