One of the interesting bits of trivia associated with Hoover Dam is that it sits smack dab on the border between Arizona and Nevada. A plaque, placed in the middle of the structure identifies this unique geographical and political boundary. |

This photo, the last in the Hoover Dam series,
serves two purposes. First, you will notice behind Jim, the significant
number of electrical towers immediately adjacent to the dam area, which
of course, provide for the distribution of electrical power to California,
Nevada, and Arizona.
Secondly, whenever I take a trip, I always take a photo of the rental vehicle, this time a Ford Ranger pickup truck. So what was the most exciting part of the trip? Hoover Dam, no. The raft ride thru the Grand Canyon - a close second. First prize, riding on Firestone AT Wilderness tires! |
