    I have a goal to visit in a meaningful way, all of the 48 contiguious states and being a resident of Florida, "knocking off" Washington and Oregon were important on the list. This trip really started out in Seattle and continued on through the southern portion of the Cascade loop before following the Columbia River Valley - the shared border with Oregon, where we went west from Portland to the Oregon Coast.
