On our flight from Atlanta to Seattle, we were seated next to a US Marine who was going home on leave, to Seattle to see her family for the first time in two years. We were pleased that the pilot prior to landing, acknowledged her service and the service of the other military passengers on our flight. Before landing, we asked her for some dinner recommendations and her first choice was Ivars located on the downtown pier, a short distance from Safeco Field, home to the Seattle Mariners and Seahawks teams.
     We had a great dinner at Ivars - looking out over the water, watching the ferrys shuttling both cars and passengers, as we enjoyed the marvelous fresh seafood.
